  1. List AIM stocks qualifying for business taper relief

Certain AIM listed stock qualify for business taper relief from the HMRC meaning investors pay no CG and the assets are IHT except.

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/cgmanual/cg17953.htm

The investors champion provide a list of such shares - however I believe it maybe out of date.

    http://www.investorschampion.com/research/all-companies/designation/aim-for-iht-planning

Can you provide such a filter?

Thanks for the suggestion. Happy to discuss but I’d say we do already have this feature (i.e. Checklists). If you go here (http://www.stockopedia.co.uk/checklists/), you can load up the stock and then click down the screens on the right to see how a given stock passes or fails.

If you mean a simple numerical score, it wouldn’t be that meaningful given the range of different (and sometimes contradictory) criteria between, say, growth based screens and value based screens.

  3. Incorporate Balance Sheet Testing into StockRanks

See Paul Scott's SCVR comment on Wincanton (WIN) dated 5/11/14. Despite having a very poor balance sheet, which shows the company is essentially insolvent, the StockRank for this company is a near perfect 99!

There must be some revision required here to factor in poor balance sheet performance for this company and others like it.

This is something we’re considering, although the emphasis of the Quality Rank is on predictive, rather than descriptive, factors and we’re not aware of empirical research that negative book equity is actually a predictive factor (despite Paul’s understandable focus on it).

    See: http://help.stockopedia.com/knowledgebase/articles/182926-what-is-the-qualityrank

We note however that there’s a good discussion thread about this topic here: http://www.stockopedia.com/content/small-cap-value-report-5-nov-2014-win-mnzs-87474/

  4. If I own a stock, show my holdings data on the StockReport

What I would like to see on the Stock Report Page is line with the details of my current holding (perhaps below the graph and above Margin of Safety, Screens passed etc.

This would show date Holding, average price paid, purchase cost, current value, profit/loss and on mouse over notes (I usually put the reason I bought the stock in notes)

  5. Have a daily guide on the overall state of the market

Have a daily guide as to the state of the market overall. There will clearly be times when it's unwise to invest at all. Conversely, when the market is turning bullish, it will probably be a good time to invest. How about a traffic light system along the lines of Vectorvest.

  6. In ChartSignals, allow optional data sources e.g. portfolios, screens

For example, when a user is on the Chart Signal page, users should be able to select a portfolio or screen and see any companies that have particular chart signals (eg. see stocks in Portfolio X that have the Death Cross).

This would be a good alternative to including chart signals in screening rules, which (at present) is not possible. However, ChartSignals would have to be all-embracing. It would be better to allow the user to construct his own signals.

  7. Include the ability to 'ignore' a poster on the forum boards.

If a poster was set to 'filtered' their comments would not be displayed.

  8. Include net tangible assets as a statistic

Net tangible assets is a key balance sheet statistic.I was disappointed to see that it was not included among your listings.

  9. Provide a money weighted total return time series for portfolios

Money weighted total portfolio return - to be able to properly track % returns of the portfolio represented as an index. This can than be compared to any other benchmark.

  10. Enable users to compare stocks against benchmarks (where benchmark is zero baseline)

I would like to plot how well individual stocks have performed against a benchmark, for example the FTSE100. The FTSE would be a flat line, and the individual stock chart line would show as a percentage +/-

  11. Make Candle Ranges ranges more configurable

Come on guys, sort out the charts... For a start, we need at least 4 moving averages and to be able to select daily or weekly candles (not defaulted to weekly for a 2 year span). Also, to be able to select other candle times would be nice, eg, 1 hour, 30min, 15 min etc... I will post further suggestions when these are fixed!
    Thanks in anticipation...

  13. Allow the download of Price Histories like Yahoo Finance

I'd like to be able to run my own analyses in addition to the great screening you provide. It would be great if I could just get an EOD csv/text file of OHLCV, but the more fields we could add, the better (xd date, Dividend Amount etc)

  15. Add an "Investor Friendly" vote button to companies with good corporate governance

Include an "investor friendly" voting function from private investors to get an idea at a quick glance whether a companies has a history of being investor friendly or not.

By investor friendly i do not mean profitable but more that it has a history of good corporate governance. Some examples of such could include:
    * accurate continuous disclosure
    * not diluting private investors with selective capital raisings.
    * Overly generous management performance options
    * questionable related party transactions

As private investor we can all think of examples of companies that manage investor expectations better than others.

    Past indiscretions get lost…

  17. Enable users to screen based on custom valuations

I would like to be able to build my own valuation method, based upon data within the Stock Report screen, and to then be able to include this within a Screening Strategy, so that I can easily identify shares that are undervalued according to my own criteria. This would be a massive time saver and enhancement to the share selection process.

This is unlkely – we’ve just got so much on our plates and we want to stick to what we’re good at – stock analysis.
